We are working to prevent the Permian Basin from being turned into a radioactive dumping ground.

WHY WE CARE

Our country’s greatest sunsets are found in the Permian Basin, an area encompassing fifty-five counties spread across Texas and New Mexico. Here, ranching, farming and oil and gas exploration have been our way of life.

Our oil production gives America economic and national security.

nuclear waste is a risk to our ability to engage in ranching, farming and oil and gas exploration. This risk will not be taken lightly. Our aim is to protect the Permian Basin from the proposed threat of hi-level nuclear waste.

The Current threat to the basin

A threat is a danger, risk, peril or hazard. A release of any amount of radioactive material is a threat to the Permian Basin. Two applications to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) are currently seeking to transport hi-level nuclear waste to be stored in the Permian Basin. Join us in our efforts to stop this threat.
